Description
This frame module allows you to make slit scan images as well as standard 24x36mm images. The slit side of the frame will expose a 0.5mm wide section of film when you open the shutter. To make slit scan images you wind the film forwards and backwards to expose a full frame width (36mm) to light.
This module is compatible with the Body and all Pinhole modules and contains a film advance clicker. Listen for 4 clicks to know that the film has advanced by one frame.
To calculate exposure times using the slit you should multiply your light meter reading by 72. This is because when you expose a 0.5mm section of film this is 1/72nd of the width of a 36mm wide exposure. So for a light meter reading of 1 second you would open the shutter and wind film forwards and backwards for 72 seconds.
Moving the camera during this time allows you to create different effects with your image. Similarly how quickly and smoothly you wind the film will also effect the resulting images. See the gallery above for some examples!
